About Our Services
What pet care services do you offer?
Cherish Pet Services offers personalized care designed to keep your pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. Services include: dog walks, drop-in visits, litter box clean up, in-home pet/house sitting, and overnight pet sitting.
We do offer VIP (Very Important Pet) boarding, when available.
Do you come to my home to care for my pet?
Yes. Our in-home services allow your pet to remain in a familiar, comfortable environment while we follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, and care routine.
Can you retrieve my mail and water my houseplants?
Yes. We offer mail retrieval and houseplant watering as part of our normal household services while we are caring for your pets. We also ensure that the trash bins are put out and brought in, when requested.
Special Care and Safety
Can you give my pet medication?
Medication assistance is available. During the consultation, please provide clear instructions including explaination of the medication, dosage, timing, and any special handling requirements so we can determine how best to support your pet.
Can you care for senior pets or pets with medical needs?
Absolutely! We are well experienced in this type of care and welcome a discussion of care for senior pet or pet which require additional attention. Please provide complete information about your pet’s routine, medical needs, medications, mobility, behavior, and emergency contacts during our consultation.
How do you keep my pet safe?
Before care begins, we learn your pet’s routine, feeding instructions, medications, behavior, home-access instructions, and emergency contacts. We follow the care plan you provide and communicate updates according to the arrangement made for your visit. We take every possible precaution to ensure your pets safety and wellness.
Will I receive updates while I am away?
Yes. Update preferences can be discussed during booking. We can provide updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you are away via text, WhatsApp, or Email.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. We are insured and bonded through a Pet Business Insurance ~ Pet Sitters Associates (https://www.petsitllc.com) which is administered by RPS Eau Claire located in WI.
Scheduling and Booking
What are your hours?
Office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat 9-12, Closed on Sun.
We offer visits as early as 7am and as late as 11 pm, Mon – Sun. All visits after 9pm incur a late hours fee.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, especially for holidays, weekends, overnight care, and extended trips. Availability depends on the dates, location, service requested, and your pet’s care needs.
How do I request a consultation?
Contact Cherish Pet Services via the Contact page of the website, or call/text (404) 326-1052 to discuss your pets, dates, location, and the services you need. We’ll schedule a date and time to meet that is convienent for both you and our sitters. A consultation helps us both to determine the compatibility of owners, sitters, and pets. It, also, help us to understand your routine and determine the best care plan.
What information should I provide when requesting care?
Please include your preferred dates and visit times, your address or services area, and the number and type of pets. Any other information such as feeding, walking, medication instructions, medical, behavioral, or mobility needs can be discussed at the consultation, along with your home-access details, and emergency contact information.
Pricing and Payment
How much do your services cost?
Pricing depends on the type of service, visit length, number of pets, location, dates, overnight requirements, and any additional care requested. Basic rates are displayed on the website, however you should contact us for a consultation and a quote based on your specific needs.
When do I pay for pet care?
Payment timing is confirmed during the booking process. You’ll be required to create a profile in our scheduling system for each pet, as well as yourself. Payment can be made through processing a credit card, or we do take Zelle payments, if preferred. Invoices are Please ask about the payment schedule for your requested services when you request your consultation.
Are additional household services included?
Mail retrieval and houseplant watering are included in your care plan. It, also, includes trash bin retreival or put out, if requested. We always leave your home as clean or cleaner than when we arrived. Any additional household services are not available.
Before Your First Visit
Will we meet before care begins?
Absolutely! A face to face consultation is required prior to booking any of our services. It gives you the opportunity to get to know us, and gives us the opportunity to learn about you, your pets, review your home-care instructions, discuss access and emergency contacts, and answer your questions before service begins. It will be during the consultation that we obtain keys or access codes to your home, if you decide to retain our services. You will meet your sitters at the consultation. No sitter will ever enter your home without you knowing who they are, and your approval.
What should I prepare before my pet sitter arrives?
Prior to your sitters arrival, you’ll create a profile in our system for each pet, as well as for yourself. These profiles provide vital information including alarm codes, door and garage entry codes, veterinary information, and emergency contacts. which only the assigned sitter and administrator can access. You may also want to leave printed instructions for feeding, walks, medication, litter box and general clean up. Make sure essential supplies are easy to find.
